Winter Storm Impacts Attendees and Exhibitors
We did have a claim for our Portland Gift Show due to a winter snow storm that impacted attendees and
exhibitors getting to the show. Our experience could not have been better. The communication was fabulous,
Buttine walked us through every step of the process in helping us make a decision whether to cancel or proceed
with the show. Once we did file the claim, it was a very easy process, we provided Jack with all the information
he needed, and they did the rest. The claim was processed quickly and we received a check in a very timely
manner. We were able to offer a credit to returning exhibitors for the following show. I was impressed with
how responsive Buttine was; they seemed to be available 24 hours a day even on the weekend. I only wish getting
medical reimbursement was that easy!

One of the Worst Blizzards in the City's History
This past January 23 - 25, 2005 JA Jewelry Show at Javits was quite a challenge. We opened the show on Sunday,
one of the worse blizzards in the City's history. All I can say is that Buttine was a tremendous resource during
the entire ordeal. We was called Buttine on Saturday during the move in to give them the heads-up that we were
going to have problems. Jack Buttine personally came to Javits every day to monitor the situation. He cut out
news articles for backup. He shared a letter from another show organizer that had also had a weather related
issue and we were able to use some of that verbage to help us write a letter to our exhibitors during the show.
All in all, Jack was a true professional and a wealth of knowledge. He was also extremely helpful after the
show to help carve out the next steps as we worked with our insurance company. He was ALWAYS accessible and
followed through on anything he said he would do.
I have only the highest regard for Jack as he was a key
ingredient to help us through this challenging situation
